Hello, and welcome to my blog! My name is Vishwanath Mathpati, and I am from Bidar, Karnataka. I have been a bike enthusiast for as long as I can remember, and I started learning how to ride a bike when I was in the 10th grade. My brother had a Honda Dream Yuga, and I used to sneak out and ride it whenever he wasn’t using it. I wasn’t formally taught how to ride, but I picked up the basics, like leaving the clutch, shifting gears, and leaving the throttle.
As someone who loves to travel, I always enjoyed exploring unknown places near my city. However, travelling by train didn’t give me the freedom to visit specific places. So, over time, I started riding different bikes. Before getting into professional motorcycling, I got my first motorcycle, which was a 2008 Hero Honda Passion Plus. This happened when my Mama upgraded his bike to a Royal Enfield Classic 350, and I got his Passion Plus XD. I started riding various places on my Passion Plus and sometimes even on the Classic 350.
After dreaming about it for many years and working hard, I finally got my dream bike – the Royal Enfield Himalayan. It was a game-changer for me, and I started exploring even more places on my new bike. I created this blog to share my experiences, knowledge, and tips with fellow motorcycle enthusiasts. Through my blog, I want to inspire and motivate people to get out of their comfort zones and explore the world on a motorcycle.
I hope you enjoy reading my blog as much as I enjoy writing it. Join me on my journey as I explore the world of motorcycling and share my adventures with you.
As a passionate motorcyclist with over 62,000 km of riding experience across India, I’ve been fortunate enough to embark on some truly incredible rides that have taken me to some of the most stunning places in the country. Here are some of the major rides that I’ve completed so far:
Solo Ladakh 2021
In the summer of 2021, I set out on a solo ride to Ladakh, a high-altitude region in the northernmost part of India. The ride was an unforgettable adventure that took me through some of the most stunning landscapes I’ve ever seen, including snow-capped mountains, rugged valleys, and vast deserts. I rode through some of the highest motorable passes in the world, including Khardung La and Chang La, and visited some of the most remote and isolated villages in the region. The experience of riding through Ladakh was truly awe-inspiring, and I feel incredibly grateful to have had the opportunity to undertake this incredible journey.
Winter Spiti 2021
In the winter of 2021, I set out on another epic ride, this time to the Spiti Valley in the state of Himachal Pradesh. Spiti is a high-altitude desert region that’s known for its stunning natural beauty and rugged terrain, and the ride was a challenging but incredibly rewarding experience. I rode through snow-covered mountains, crossed icy rivers, and navigated treacherous roads to reach some of the most remote and picturesque villages in the region. The ride was a true test of my riding skills and endurance, but it was also one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.
Zanskar Valley 2022
In the summer of 2022, I embarked on a ride to the Zanskar Valley, a remote and isolated region in the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir. The ride was an incredible adventure that took me through some of the most stunning landscapes I’ve ever seen, including towering mountain ranges, deep canyons, and winding rivers. I rode through some of the most challenging terrain I’ve ever encountered, including high-altitude passes, rocky river beds, and narrow mountain roads. Despite the difficulties, the ride was an incredibly rewarding experience, and I feel incredibly fortunate to have had the opportunity to explore this incredible region on my bike.
In the fall of 2022, I set out on a ride to Dhanushkodi, a small town on the southeastern coast of India that’s known for its stunning natural beauty and unique cultural heritage. The ride took me through some of the most scenic coastal roads in the country, and I had the opportunity to explore some of the most remote and picturesque beaches in the region. The ride was a relaxing and enjoyable experience, and it was the perfect way to cap off an incredible year of motorcycling adventures.
Rider Mania 2022
As mentioned earlier, my attendance at the Royal Enfield Rider Mania 2022 event was a major highlight of my motorcycling journey. The event was a unique opportunity to meet other Royal Enfield enthusiasts, participate in various competitions, and explore the beautiful scenery of Goa.
During the event, I participated in various competitions, including the dirt track race and slow race, and I also had the opportunity to ride with other passionate motorcyclists on some of the most scenic roads in Goa. The atmosphere at the event was incredible, and it was amazing to see so many people coming together to celebrate their love of Royal Enfield motorcycles.
Overall, my attendance at Rider Mania was an unforgettable experience that I will always cherish, and it’s something that I would highly recommend to any Royal Enfield enthusiast looking to connect with other like-minded riders and explore the beautiful scenery of India.
Other Small Rides
In addition to these major rides, I’ve also undertaken a number of smaller rides across India that have taken me to some of the most beautiful and interesting places in the country. Some of the places I’ve ridden to include Gokarna, a small temple town on the western coast of India; Malenadu, a scenic region in the Western Ghats known for its coffee plantations and lush forests; and Ratnagiri, a coastal town in Maharashtra that’s famous for its beaches and historic monuments.
As you can see, my motorcycling journey has taken me to some truly incredible places, and I feel incredibly grateful for the experiences that I’ve had. Through this blog, I hope to share my passion for motorcycling with others and inspire them to embark on their own adventures.
